I watched this beautiful video on the way down to London yesterday. Cool Hunting always produce beautiful videos but this one resonated for me even more, probably because of the fantastic talks at Revival last week. There was a talk there from Oficina Tipografica , another São Paulo printing press.
I asked in uni today about the type cases and presses we used to have in a room downstairs that's now been turned into music practice rooms. I thought I might do some playing as research for our current project.
I assumed they'd just been moved to our other campus where there's still a printmaking course. Apparently, though, "People just kind of helped themselves when it was being closed down".
